At this year's general meeting of the RAL Quality Association for Plastic Surfaces and Synthetic Turf Systems in Sports Outdoor Facilities e.V., which took place under optimal conditions and in a very pleasant atmosphere at the RAL headquarters in Bonn, chairman Joachim Weitzel was able to report on 13 new members. Friedemann Söll was elected to the board as a new advisory board member. The board now consists of chairman Joachim Weitzel, deputy chairman Oliver Schimmelpfennig and the advisory board members Friedemann Söll, Kai Weber-Gemmel and Dominic Heiler.

The most important projects in the current development are the expansion of the RAL-GZ 944 synthetic turf systems in the module 944/4 Functional fillers in addition to cork to include the natural fillers olive stones, wood chips, corn husks and mixtures of cork/olive kernels, etc., as well as the revision/expansion of RAL-GZ 943 plastic coverings about the module 943/6 expansion and recycling.
